Saints Row: Gat Out of Hell Review | The Game Scouts

Added: 20.01.2015 14:11 | 26 views | 0 comments

Tin Salamunic: The Saints Row franchise has gone through several permutations before finally finding its voice in Saints Row IV. While the gangster-spoof vibe persisted with each release, developer Volition shifted towards a more comic-inspired approach by adding superpowers and exaggerating the characters further. They introduced just enough changes to differentiate the series from Grand Theft Auto, without losing the established tone and style of the first two titles. While an official fifth installment remains unannounced, publisher Deep Silver is releasing a superb stand-alone DLC with their SR IV HD remake that celebrates Saints Rows absurdity. Gat Out of Hell is like the Saints greatest hits collection. Its a silly and well written side story featuring Saints Row favorite Gat. Its a great way to experience Saints explosive action and humor on next-gen consoles, even if it doesnt bring anything new to the table.

Citizens of Earth Review | The Game Scouts

Palmer Sturman: Citizens of Earth is the new RPG from Eden Industries. Its a colorful and hilarious romp in a world that mimics our own through stereotypes, caricatures, and over-the-top fun. Its easy to see inspirations from classic SNES and NES era JRPGs, especially EarthBound, but the smart writing, funny dialogue and addictive gameplay really do help this title stand on its own. At first glance it may not seem like much, but I promise that after youve spent some time with this clever title youll find yourself more than pleasantly surprised.

Duke Nukem 3D: Megaton Edition Review | The Game Scouts

Added: 17.01.2015 23:13 | 16 views | 0 comments

Palmer Sturman: Duke Nukem 3D is a title most seasoned gamers are already familiar with. What with its dozens of re-releases across multiple platforms since its initial debut on PC in 96, one has to talk about this title with a certain amount of familiarity. But what exactly constitutes PlayStation Vitas new Megaton Edition? Aside from the fact that its on a handheld the answer is: not much. If youre familiar with the XBOX Live Arcade version that released a few years ago on 360 and you enjoyed it then youre bound to find yourself right at home with the Vita release. Love it or not the originals fast-paced gory gameplay and womanizing behavior are still prevalent, and though the latter may not have held up as elegantly in modern times the title is still a blast to play.
